Here’s a filter/adapter I’ve kept in my bag for years. I hate wide angle adapters because they soften the image, cause ugly light flares and make the camera front heavy. But the RedEye is different, first it’s made by a DOP, Rene Collins... he’s kept the adapter extremely light... it fits under the lens hood and because it’s just one piece of glass, the image stays sharp. I use it when my lens just isn’t wide enough or a handheld walking shot. It’s not a zoom-thru, so it’s used with the lens zoomed out to it’s widest position.



With the .7x adapter, the power on most camera lenses will be increased by 30%, the .5x adapter increases the power by 50%, and the .4x is 60%
The Red Eye™ is about the size of a filter and weighs less than 100 grams. The bulk and weight have been eliminated by using a durable and compact, high index, high clarity optical material which substantially reduces the size and weight of the lens. All Red Eye™ wide angle adapters feature a multi-layer anti-reflective coating to increase light transmission to near 100% for optimum image clarity, contrast and sharpness. In addition, hard coatings offer an extra degree of scratch resistance and improve water repellency. The lens housing is anodized aluminum and uses standard 62mm, 72mm, 77mm or 82mm thread mount. Each lens comes with its own hand-crafted padded leather case.
One advantage of the Red Eye™ is that it can be used with your existing lens hoods and matte boxes. In most cases, simply screw the Red Eye™ adapter on your lens and attach the lens shade. Some lens shades require that the Red Eye™ be mounted with the shade attached.

Canon LO-32BMT

The Canon LO-32BMT adapter allows you to mount a 2/3" B4 bayonet lens onto any Sony 1/2" proprietary mount camera such as the new XDCAM HD series, PDW-F330/F350 while not affecting the optical quality of the lens. It is important to consider the following information when using a 2/3" lens with a LO-32BMT adapter mounted to a 1/2" camera:
◦The images produced will appear visually more telephoto by a factor of 1.38x.
◦The actual F-Number of a lens does not change when mounted on a different format size camera. (If the lens is F1.9 in the 2/3 "format, the lens is also F1.9 in the 1/2" format.)
◦The Focal Length and F-Stop markings on the 2/3” lens are correct in either format.
◦It is highly recommended that HDTV lenses always be employed on HDTV cameras.

Focal Length:
When using a 2/3” lens with a LO-32BMT adapter mounted to a 1/2” camera, the actual focal length of the lens does not change. However, the angle of view associated with that focal length changes. In this case, the lens will visually be more telephoto, by a factor of 1.38x. As an example, the 2/3” KJ20x8.5B HDTV lens (58.90 angle of view at 8.5mm when mounted on a 2/3” camera) will visually appear to have a 44.60 angle of view, that equates to an equivalent focal length of 11.7mm (8.5mm x 1.38 = 11.7mm)
